Nucleic Acid Isolation from Food Samples
The chemagic Food Basic Kit is designed for DNA extraction and purification of
genomic DNA from 200 mg food samples of mainly plant origin. Lysis of food material and binding conditions are optimized to obtain both high yield and high quality of the genomic DNA. The purified DNA is suitable for downstream applications such as PCR and GMO detection. To increase the sensitivity of detection the sample size is scalable for difficulte samples such as processed food. For preparing lysates from 2 g of food samples material the chemagic Food Extension Kit is available.
